Configuration Options for the Silverado RST
One thing that stands out about the Silverado RST is the various available configurations. The Silverado is offered in five combinations of cab sizes and bed lengths, though the RST is not available with a regular cab. Instead, you can choose this trim with a double cab and standard bed, a crew cab with a short bed, or a crew cab with a standard bed. One thing to note is that some of these configurations only have the RST trim available with four-wheel drive (4WD), while others let you choose between 4WD and rear-wheel drive (RWD). Your choice of drive type and configuration can also affect which engines are available for the RST, so be sure to consider all of these combinations when building your dream truck.
Numerous Available Engines
Speaking of engines, Chevy trucks are known for having some of the most impressive, hardest-working engines in the auto industry, and the Silverado RST is no exception. As we said, just keep in mind that configuration can impact this. No matter what you’re looking at, the starting engine for the RST is Chevy’s impressive 2.7L TurboMax, which delivers 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, making it a fantastic standard choice. For something with a bit more horsepower, there’s also an available 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine that delivers 355 hp, which comes paired with an available 10-speed automatic transmission as opposed to the standard eight-speed automatic.
For the greatest available power, certain configurations for the RST also have the Silverado’s incredible 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine available, which boosts performance up to 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. This is the way to go if you’re looking for a conventional gas-powered engine that delivers incredible performance. You can also get Chevy’s 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine on the RST, which provides 305 hp and an incredible 495 lb-ft of torque, the highest available torque on a Silverado 1500. The 3.0L Duramax is the last diesel engine offered on light-duty trucks like this, making it a great choice if you want a Silverado RST you can count on for reliable performance for many years to come.

Exterior Features and Options
At a glance, the Silverado 1500 RST is quite striking, with a beautiful design that will immediately turn heads wherever you go. For starters, you have 18-inch wheels that are bright silver and wrapped in bold, all-season tires for excellent performance and traction, both rain and shine. The RST features body-color front and rear bumpers, plus a CornerStep rear bumper that makes it easy to reach stuff in the bed of your truck. You get LED headlamps, fog lamps, and tail lamps, offering excellent illumination in various conditions, plus heated, power side mirrors with high gloss black caps.
Body-color door handles complete the overall look of the RST, while an EZ Lift tailgate features power lock and release functionality to easily access your truck bed and secure it as needed. You also have a number of options available that let you customize the looks of your Silverado RST, including gorgeous exterior colors like Glacier Blue Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Dark Ash Metallic. If you want a bold and aggressive look, then available 20-inch wheels in high gloss black make a striking statement, although the available 22-inch wheels in high gloss black or bright chrome are impossible to ignore.
A Well-Appointed Interior
Looking inside the RST, we find a lot of things that elevate it over the standard features of the Silverado. For starters, you have the massive 13.4-inch infotainment system with Google built-in and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. This is joined by a 12.3-inch color Driver Information Center that provides you with warning messages, vehicle information, and more. You get a standard six-speaker sound system, comfortable cloth seating, a standard 10-way power driver’s seat, and standard heated front seats. Keyless open and start with remote start functionality comes standard in the RST, with numerous USB ports, 120-volt power outlets, and dual-zone automatic climate control to keep you comfortable.
While the cloth seating we mentioned is included with the RST, you can also choose between a front bench seat and a pair of front bucket seats, depending on your preference. Other upgrades for inside the RST include a Bose Premium sound system for incredible audio inside your truck, a wireless charging pad, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and even a console-mounted safe if you need to keep things protected inside your truck.

Two Special Editions Available
While the appearance of the standard RST is more than enough to turn heads, Chevy also offers two different special editions to further enhance the looks and features of your Silverado 1500. The Rally Edition is one of our favorites and is only offered for the RST and Custom models, adding black hood and tailgate stripes plus black badging, bowtie emblems, and more details. This Rally Edition adds 20-inch high-gloss black wheels. However, 22-inch wheels are available for this one, too, plus it comes with black tubular assist steps to complete its overall look.
For something even more striking, the Redline Edition is hard to beat and exclusively offered for the RST. This edition features 20-inch high-gloss black wheels with red accents, dual exhaust outlets with black rectangular tips, and high-intensity LED headlamps with black bezels. The Redline Edition features black emblems with red outlines and red striping on the rearview mirrors, red recovery hooks, and high-gloss black door handles to create a stunning overall impression that is sure to impress.
